Kathak Solo I	Short compositions which weave complex rhythmical patterns through the fourteen beat cycle "Dhammar". Within this pure dance piece there is large scope for improvisation, in which a dialogue is created between dancer and tabla player. The dancer even speaks the "Bols", the dance syllables, before executing them. Live performance by Ioanna Srinivasan.

Akbar's Palace	Inspired by Moghul miniature painting Ioanna Srinivasan's latest solo dance piece explores the aesthetics of dance, music and projection, using the unique medium of classical Kathak. Dance as a definition of space and movement, the creation of pattern and emotion, the body blends with the passage of time and experiences the endless cycle of beauty and joy, agony and peace.
